"Found" customs
These are customs which I found in a local thrift shop as part of a huge collection of 1980s Hot Wheels given by a local donor. They were likely made by some kid who got bored with plastic model kits, and they're included here not because they're especially well done, but because the treatments are intriguing enough that you might find them useful as ideas for customs of your own. Improvements/detriments aren't measured here because these don't represent my work and I never saw the original pieces on which these customs were made.
1982 Hot Bird (black) (n/a)
1982 Jeep CJ-7 (white) (n/a)
1982/83 Bywayman/Super Scraper (n/a)
1983 Hi-Tail Hauler (blue) (n/a)
1983 Jaguar XJS (n/a)
198? Baja Breaker x2 (green) (n/a)
Rating system:

Ratings represent my personal assessments of a piece's value as an adult collectible out of a maximum five stars.
Examples:
: In my opinion, this was a 2-1/2-star piece out-of-the-box; customizing improved it by a full star.
: I loved it in its stock appearance, customizing was a mistake that cost it a star.
: Customizing didn't improve the piece...fortunately, it didn't hurt it either.
These ratings are provided as guidelines for selecting suitable candidate cars and appearances for do-it-yourself customizing. They are not to meant to indicate in any way that a given piece has any real or meaningful value relative to any other piece or to the original piece on which the custom was based. They are provided as suggested guidelines only.
